Heat oil in a kadai or wok. Add cumin seeds and let them splutter. Add sliced onions and sauté until they turn golden brown.

 Add ginger-garlic paste and chopped green chili. Sauté for a minute until the raw aroma disappears. Add the blended tomato puree and cook until the oil separates from the masala.

Add coriander powder, cumin powder, red chili powder, turmeric powder, and salt. Mix well and cook for a few minutes. Add sliced bell peppers and cook until they are partially cooked but still have a crunch.

Step 4

Add the cubed paneer to the kadai and mix gently to coat the paneer with the masala.  Sprinkle garam masala and mix again. Allow it to cook for a few more minutes until the paneer is heated through.

Step 5

Garnish with fresh coriander leaves. Serve hot with naan, roti, or rice.
